WHY UK-BASED AGENT AND DISTRIBUTOR CAROL C COLLECTIONS IS PROMISING TO MAKE INTERNATIONAL BUYING SIMPLE FOR ALL RETAILERS IN 2020
As we prepare to see in a new year and new era for this country, many retailers are concerned about supply chains and rising costs in 2020. Family-run company Carol C Collections distributes its fashion ranges across the UK and Ireland – allowing retail partners to rest easy about shipping fee rises and import duties. The company’s brands come from around the globe and largely from outside of the EU, with key labels including Foil from New Zealand, Orientique from Australia and Focus from the US.
This international approach means it will be business as usual for the team and its stockists, no matter what happens next year in terms of Brexit and the economy. “Anyone that buys one of our brands deals just with us and will be invoiced by our UK company with no extortionate shipping costs,” explains director Carol Capener. “All import duties are paid by us and customers pay us in sterling. This makes the process simple with no hidden complications or costs. We take all worries away regarding dealing with any new foreign trading rules.” In addition, Carol C Collections is dedicated to supporting local independent boutiques. It does not sell any of its collections directly to consumers, ensuring that it is never in competition with its retail stockists. The company says it would never take on a brand that sells to consumers either in the UK or anywhere else inthe world that would have an impact on its customers. What’s more, it works with retailers on delivery and payment plans, offering up to 20 weeks’ interest free options on its ranges. “We aim to put our customers’ needs first, whether that’s never selling directly to consumers online or providing a simple process for purchasing any of our brands,” says Capener. “With brands within our portfolio coming from mostly outside of Europe coupled with a focus on natural fabrics and products that allow retailers to achieve good margins, we are feeling very positive for 2020. And that’s even without going into detail about our new AW20 collections, which are looking extremely exciting!” Showing at Harrogate Fashion Week (stand M13), 26 – 27 January and INDX Womenswear and Footwear.
